So what do you think?

Look through the projects that have been added to our Students Helping Students web site. Select two that you really like and submit two seperate posts, one for each selection. Please make sure to be specific about what you liked about the project you chosen. Student's should clearly understand what it is you like about their project or what you think would have made their project stronger. Please remember to be kind as your comments will be read by the author and anyone who happens to this site.

I liked Danny C's and Sierra A's PP bbecause it was simple and used easy to read colors. It had a wide variety of practice problems and test questions too. I wish that they include the answers to the test though. Other than that one thing, it was great.

I liked Jessie's PowerPoint because it was very colorful and entertaining. The information was well explained and it had many examples.

I also liked Nicole’s PowerPoint from eight grade because it was very well explained and had many examples. Also you could tell she tried her hardest with all those graphs in the PowerPoint.

Areas of polygons by Lindsey G clearly show the equations and methods for finding the area of different polygons. Some polygons have different methods that are also revealed such as using the diagonals of a rhombus to find the area. The practice problems are not hard but will help other students understand the topic. This presentation can be improved by showing how to find areas of complex polygons.
The Pythagorean Theorem by Raymond H, Zane L, and Scotty B gave historical background on this topic and also included a website with test problems. Additionally, their presentation even gave people some fun by including a little comic strip. This presentation can be further improved by including step by step instructions and explaining why those steps are correct instead of jumping onto practice problems right away.
